The most popular mirror sizes: these are the ones our customers choose most often

At Nordic Style, we’ve noticed that customers primarily choose sizes that are both practical and complement their interiors elegantly. Below, you’ll find out which sizes are the most popular and why, along with general guidelines from the world of interior design for some extra inspiration.

Round mirrors: classic favorites

Our round mirrors, available in 80 cm and 100 cm diameters, are extremely popular. Customers choose these sizes because they strike a beautiful balance with light, organic interiors. The 80 cm mirror is compact and subtle, while the 100 cm mirror makes a bigger statement without being overpowering. In larger bathrooms, we also often see the larger 120 cm round mirror, especially above furniture or in open spaces.

Curved and rectangular mirrors: a statement piece in any room

For those who really want an eye-catcher, our arched and rectangular mirrors in 180 × 80 cm are a favorite. This size combines elegance with functionality in the entryway, bedroom, or living room. According to our stylists, this size is the ideal full-length mirror, allowing you to assess your entire figure. In addition to being an ideal full-length mirror, this size also looks stunning in the living room, where the mirror brings light and a sense of calm.

Oval and hexagonal mirrors: elegant details

Our oval mirrors are mainly available in two popular sizes: 80 × 50 cm and 125 × 40 cm, which create a sleek, elegant look on a wall. If you’d like to use the mirror more as a full-length mirror, take a look at our oval mirrors in the sizes 150 × 45 cm and 170 × 50 cm. The 90 × 60 cm hexagonal mirror is a unique choice: a bit smaller, but artistic. Perfect as a decorative accent.

Full-length and other applications: a focus on function

Although Nordic Style offers a wide selection of wall mirrors, we’ve noticed that our customers are also interested in full-length mirrors for their bedrooms or studios, with a preference for standing mirrors that are 150 cm tall. This provides a full-length reflection, perfect for checking your outfit, for example.

Interior Design Advice: Tailoring to the Space and Furniture

  • Above a piece of furniture such as a sideboard or sofa: choose a mirror that is 25–50 % narrower than the piece of furniture below it
  • Above a bathroom vanity: Keep decorative lighting in mind: the mirror should be wider than the sink but should not extend beyond the surface of the vanity—ideally, about 2–4 cm from the sides
  • Eye Level: Center your mirror approximately 145–150 cm above the floor for a comfortable reflection

Why These Sizes Are Favorites at Nordic Style

Because we at Nordic Style believe that design should be accessible for every space, we offer our mirrors in a wide variety of sizes. Take our arched mirror, for example: it’s available in no fewer than 9 different sizes, so there’s always a size that fits your interior perfectly. In addition, for each size, you can choose from our four signature Nordic colors—black, matte white, soft gold, and greige—which blend seamlessly with a Scandinavian interior style.

Customer-Focused Tips: How Do You Choose the Right Size?

  1. First, measure your space: consider the width of the furniture, the wall surface area, and the room's function.
  2. Follow these guidelines: – The mirror should be 70–80 % the width of the cabinet or table panel; – The mirror above the sink should be approximately 4–10 cm above the sink surface.
  3. Choose your shape: rounded shapes blend softly into organic interiors, while straight lines complement more minimalist or industrial designs.
  4. Stay true to your interior design style: for example, choose a greige or soft gold frame to add warmth, or black for bold accents.
  5. See what works best: feel free to send us a photo or sketch of your wall; we’d be happy to help you determine which size and shape best suits your decor.
