Instructions for Hanging and Using Our Mirrors
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING AND HANGING THE MIRROR
Our mirrors, with the exception of those with irregular shapes (such as organically shaped mirrors), can be mounted on the wall or used as freestanding pieces, depending on the safe location and surroundings.
It is crucial that the mirror be mounted on a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity. If you have any doubts about the wall's suitability, seek expert advice.
Please note: There are different mounting hardware options available for different wall types. Make sure you use the correct type for your wall. Nordic Style® includes standard wall anchors and screws with the mirror, allowing you to hang it flush against the wall. These are not suitable for mounting the mirror at an angle against the wall. When mounting the mirror flush against the wall, make sure the mirror is not located near any electrical wiring or pipes.
Do not use a chain, wire, or cord to hang the mirror. The screws provided are the minimum required for wall mounting (at least 2). Wall mounting using wire can cause unintended inward force on the mounting hardware, which may result in damage in some cases.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Based on the mounting points, decide whether you want to hang the mirror vertically or horizontally. Some mirrors can only be hung one way, such as square, round, or arched mirrors.
Round mirrors have a single mounting point. One screw and anchor are sufficient for this.
Measure the distance between the two mounting points on the back of the mirror.
Use a level to mark this distance on the wall; this is the distance between the two screws/mounting points.
Drill two holes for the wall anchors and screws, leaving about 1 cm of the screw protruding. We include strong screws with a wide screw head with the mirror.
Drill the screws at a slight upward angle for a secure attachment.
Hang the mirror using the two screws and make sure the mirror’s mounting points are securely seated over the screw heads.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR STANDING USE/AT AN ANGLE AGAINST THE WALL
If you plan to place the mirror standing against the wall, keep in mind that this can also pose a risk (think of children, pets, drafts, etc.). It is possible, provided you take the following precautions:
We recommend securing the top of the mirror to the wall to prevent it from tipping over.
Place a non-slip mat under the mirror’s frame. This helps keep the mirror upright.
Since you decide for yourself at what angle you want to mount the mirror against the wall, we do not provide mounting hardware for this.
For the correct mounting hardware, we recommend visiting a home improvement store.
IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Avoid using hard or sharp objects on the mirror glass.
Do not place the mirror near excessive heat or moisture.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products to clean the mirror.
Do not hang the mirror in places where there is a risk of accidentally bumping into it.
