The perfect mirror for your entryway: first impressions guaranteed

The entryway is the first room you enter when you come home, and the first place your guests see. Yet it’s often overlooked when decorating. While every detail in the living room is carefully considered, the entryway is sometimes left with just a bare wall and a coat rack. That’s a shame, because a beautiful mirror can really make a difference in the entryway. It’s not just functional—like quickly checking your hair before you head out—but it also adds to the atmosphere. A well-chosen mirror gives the entryway a welcoming feel, makes the space appear larger, and immediately sets the tone for the rest of the house. At Nordic Style, you’ll find mirrors that do exactly that, featuring timeless designs and high-quality materials.

Spatial Effect

Why a Mirror in the Hallway Works So Well

A large mirror instantly makes a narrow hallway feel more spacious. It reflects light, making the space seem deeper, and the whole area looks airier. But a full-length mirror is more than just an optical illusion. It’s also a gesture toward your guests: this is where I live; this is where I feel at home. The Scandinavian design philosophy that inspires Nordic Style is all about this: every object in a space has a function, but it can also be beautiful. In fact, it doesn’t have to choose.

Which mirror is best suited for your entryway depends on the width of the space, the height of the ceiling, and the style you have in mind. Are you a fan of clean lines, or do you prefer something softer and more rounded? Do you want a mirror that stands out, or one that blends seamlessly into the overall design? In the Nordic Style collection, you’ll find the perfect match for each of these preferences.

Shapes

Which mirror would look good in the entryway?

A hallway calls for a mirror that is both functional and decorative. The space is often narrow and tall, calling for a design that works vertically. Fortunately, the Nordic Style collection offers plenty of choices, from sleek arched mirrors to round accent mirrors and organic shapes that catch your eye.

Arched Mirrors: Elegance in the Entryway

The Maj collection of arched mirrors is one of the most popular choices for the entryway. The straight sides and bottom, combined with the elegant arch at the top, give the mirror a classic silhouette that fits effortlessly into even modern interiors. A slimmer model works particularly well in a hallway: the 180×40 cm size fits even in narrower hallways and extends high enough to provide the full view you need in the morning before you leave. If you’d prefer something a bit more spacious, the 190×60 cm is a wonderful choice that can also serve as a full-length mirror. The Maj is available with a brushed aluminum frame in black, matte white, greige, or soft gold. If you prefer a warm, natural look, the Maj Oak offers the same model with a solid oak frame.

Round mirrors: timeless and versatile

Sometimes it’s simplicity itself that makes an interior special. A round mirror from the Nea collection is exactly that: simple, yet full of character. In the entryway, a round mirror measuring 80 or 100 cm in diameter serves as a striking focal point above a console table or coat rack. Its soft, rounded shape contrasts beautifully with the straight lines of a hallway door or doorframe. Round mirrors are timeless—and that’s no cliché. They complement a classic interior just as well as a contemporary Scandinavian style.

Oval mirrors: softness with a slight elongation

If you’re looking for a mirror that offers a bit more than a round one but doesn’t have the stark lines of a rectangle, the Lara collection of oval mirrors is the answer. The curved top and bottom give the mirror a soft, timeless look. The 170×50 cm Lara works particularly well in the entryway: it’s slim enough for a narrow hallway, yet tall enough to double as a full-length mirror. Available with an aluminum frame, oak frame, or frameless, so you can choose based on the atmosphere you want to create.

Organic mirrors: an unexpected eye-catcher

If you prefer an interior with a bit more character, an organic mirror from the Hanna collection is a great choice for the entryway. Its flowing, asymmetrical contours make it a striking yet understated element. The soft shapes bring balance to the space, even in an entryway that’s otherwise very minimalist. Available with an aluminum frame or as a wooden version in the Hanna Wood design.

Frameless mirrors: sleek and spacious

A frameless mirror has no frame around the glass. This creates an extremely sleek design that blends into the interior without drawing attention to itself. It works particularly well in a hallway if you want to keep the space as open and airy as possible. The mirror glass has a matte-polished edge and is equipped with safety film on the back. Frameless arched mirrors and oval styles are popular choices for hallways with a minimalist aesthetic.

Interior Design Tips

The Entryway as a First Impression: Here's How to Do It

When choosing a wall mirror, the proportions relative to the room are important. In a narrow hallway, it’s best to choose a mirror that works vertically—that is, one that’s taller than it is wide. A model that’s 170 or 180 cm tall will immediately make the space feel brighter and more spacious. If you have a wider entryway, a wider mirror will also work well, such as the Maj (180×80 cm) or the Finn (180×80 cm).

In terms of placement, a mirror in the entryway works best on a wall that you see immediately upon entering. This could be across from the front door, but also on a side wall, at eye level or slightly higher. Pair the mirror with a console table, a small lamp, or a small plant to create an inviting entryway that instantly exudes personality. Not sure about the color or material? Nordic Style offers a sample box with color swatches of all frame colors and a small piece of mirror glass, so you can decide at home what works best.

Design

Timeless design for a lasting first impression

The beauty of Scandinavian-style mirrors is that they never go out of style. An arched mirror in matte white or a round mirror in natural oak will look just as good in ten years as it does today. That’s no coincidence—it’s the result of deliberate design choices: understated shapes, neutral colors, and materials that age gracefully. Nordic Style designs with that perspective in mind—not for the trend of the moment, but for the interior you’ll build over the years.

The same applies to the materials. The mirror glass is high-quality HD silver mirror glass that provides a crystal-clear, true-to-life reflection without distortion. The aluminum frames are made of brushed aluminum and are both lightweight and moisture-resistant. Wooden frames are made of FSC-certified wood—oak for the Oak variants and pine for the Wood variants.

Business

Full-length mirrors for corporate lobbies

A hallway isn’t just for the home. Hotels, offices, and restaurants have long known that a beautiful mirror at the entrance sets the tone for the entire experience that follows. A large arched mirror in the lobby of a boutique hotel or a sleek, frameless mirror at an office reception desk are details that shape how visitors experience a space.

Nordic Style also supplies business customers, ranging from hotels and restaurants to interior designers and real estate developers. For multiple items, a customized quote is available, starting as low as three pieces. Frameless mirrors can also be ordered fully customized, starting at five pieces, by requesting a quote from the Dutch manufacturer. Materials

Materials and Colors

Most mirrors in the Nordic Style collection are available with a brushed aluminum frame. This material is lightweight, moisture-resistant, and available in four colors: black, matte white, greige, and soft gold. Greige is a unique blend of gray and beige that fits particularly well in Scandinavian interiors. Soft gold adds a warm, elegant touch, while black creates a sleek and contemporary look. Matte white complements virtually any style.

If you prefer wood, choose the Oak version in solid oak with an ultra-matte finish, or the Wood version in FSC-certified pine. Pine is available in natural or walnut, with the walnut version having a richer, darker shade. Wooden mirrors create a warm, airy Scandinavian atmosphere and fit well in a hallway with light colors and natural materials. Keep in mind, however, that wooden mirrors are not suitable for damp areas.

Quality

Quality and Sustainability

All Nordic Style mirrors feature high-quality HD silver mirror glass that is 4 to 6 mm thick, depending on the size. This extra weight prevents warping, even in larger models. The glass comes standard with an explosion-proof safety film on the back, ensuring that the glass stays intact in the event of damage. Framed mirrors also feature a backing board made of FSC-certified MDF for added sturdiness.

Nordic Style has a customer rating of 9.4 out of 10. Each model is carefully designed and comes with a complete set of mounting hardware, including screws and anchors suitable for concrete walls. So you don’t need any additional materials to get started.

Delivery

Delivery and Maintenance

Mirrors are delivered free of charge in the Netherlands and Belgium via a specialized carrier with experience handling fragile items. Two days before delivery, you’ll receive an email with the delivery date and time window, so there won’t be any surprises. Delivery takes place on the ground floor, behind the first door. If the mirror is in stock, it’s usually delivered within five business days.

For maintenance, a dry viscose cloth is sufficient for the glass. If necessary, you can use a small amount of diluted cleaning vinegar. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the coating and the frame. Nordic Style also offers its own mirror glass cleaner, specially formulated to leave no streaks. Apply it directly to the glass, not to the frame. For wooden frames, simply dust them regularly with a dry cloth—that’s all you need to do.
